The Maternity Champions programme includes activities such as buggy walks, pregnancy and post-natal exercise with an instructor (babies welcome!), baby playtime and coffee mornings with guest speakers.
The Champions are local volunteers who have been trained on National Childbirth Trust courses (National Childbirth Trust). They offer information and informal support to parents, while also organising fun activities for you and your baby.
Maternity Champions Manager Sona Djerrahian (pictured) says, "With an amazing team of local volunteers, we run activities across the borough to support families from pregnancy through to their first year after the birth. Having a baby can be an exciting, but potentially stressful time. I believe everyone deserves access to the best support!"
