Winning jewellery entry in V&A competition

Kensington and Chelsea College students win V&A competition
Two design students from Kensington and Chelsea College on Wornington Road have been selected as winners in this year’s ‘Inspired by the V&A’ competition.

Shahin Zare-Azirani won the Jewellery Prize for her gold bangle (pictured) and Cathryn Shilling won the Glass Prize for a piece entitled ‘Memory Surfing’.

Maria Rosenthal, Curriculum Leader for Design at the College said, ‘Not only have we had two students selected as overall winners but we had seven students shortlisted. This national competition attracs large numbers of applicants from colleges and universities so I am very proud of our student’s achievements and the lecturers who have supported them.’

The Kensington and Chelsea College Summer School has loads of short courses and is enrolling now. Subjects include interior design, fashion, health care and languages. Find out more here
