A new loyalty card for independent shops, the Wedge Card, has been launched in Kensington and Chelsea. Lots of businesses in Golborne are offering deals to their customers via the card which residents can get for free.
The idea for the card came from Diana Bird, daughter of Big Isssue founder John Bird. It has already been successfully rolled out in other areas of London.
The Royal Borough has put its weight behind the scheme as part of its campaign to help small retailers against the march of the large multiples. Cards have been sent to every household in the Borough and some 500 shops are signed up to the scheme.

On offer: haircut for £20, manicure for £15 (until April 30th)

On offer: free soft drink with every main course purchased.

Golborne Pharmacy, 106 Golborne Road
On offer: free surprise beauty/cleansing product with every purchase over £10.
Constructive Lives, 312 Portobello Road
On offer: 10% off all Trellick Tower related merchandise (prints, plates, mugs, etc.).
